These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Lightning Tracker ("App") provided by 34apps ("we," "us," or "our").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The App
Lightning Tracker provides real-time and recent lightning information, storm tracking tools, weather radar, forecasts, severe weather alerts, notifications, and related features on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch.
The App is for informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for official emergency warnings, professional meteorological advice, or your own judgment about personal safety.
2. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the App. If you are under the age of majority, you may use the App only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
3. Accounts, Devices, and Registration
The App may assign or store a device identifier to support subscriptions, notifications, analytics, and server communication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and Apple ID.
4. Subscriptions and Premium Features
Some features require a paid Premium subscription ("Premium"), including but not limited to:
- Additional alert locations and background lightning monitoring
- Animated precipitation radar
- Strike history and playback
- Certain advanced tracking and platform features described in the App
Subscription terms, pricing, free trials, billing periods, and renewal terms are presented in the App at the time of purchase.
Payments are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
Free trials, if offered, convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends.
Restore Purchases is available where required by Apple.
Refunds are handled by Apple according to App Store policies.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, reverse engineer, or overload the App or our servers
- Misrepresent your subscription status or attempt to access Premium features without paying
- Scrape, resell, or commercially exploit App data except as permitted by law and these Terms
- Use the App in a way that could harm others or create a false sense of safety in dangerous weather conditions
6. Location and Notifications
Location-based and notification features depend on permissions you grant and on network, device, and server availability. You are responsible for configuring alert locations, quiet hours, and device settings appropriately.
Alerts may be delayed, unavailable, or inaccurate. Do not rely on the App as your only warning system during thunderstorms or other hazardous weather.
7. Data Accuracy and Availability
Weather and lightning data come from third-party sources and may be incomplete, delayed, estimated, or unavailable in some areas. Radar coverage, lightning detection coverage, forecast data, and official alert coverage vary by region and provider.
We do not guarantee that the App will detect every strike, storm, or weather event, or that data will always be current, accurate, or available.
8. Safety Disclaimer
Lightning and severe weather are dangerous. The App's distance estimates, arrival times, Flash-to-Bang calculations, forecasts, and alerts are approximations only.
Always follow official local warnings and emergency instructions. If you are in immediate danger, seek appropriate shelter and contact local emergency services.
9. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, software, branding, and content we create, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
Third-party data displayed in the App remains the property of its respective providers and may be subject to their terms and attribution requirements.
10. Third-Party Services
The App relies on Apple services, our backend, and third-party providers for payments, analytics, notifications, hosting, and weather data. Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms and privacy policies.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. By using the App, you also agree to our Privacy Policy, available at:

12. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it and canceling any active subscriptions through Apple.
We may suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR ACCURATE.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP OR PREMIUM FEATURES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
15. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless us and our affiliates from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms.
16. Changes
We may modify the App or these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice within the App or by other reasonable means. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which 34apps operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
18. Apple Terms
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you also agree that:
- Apple is not responsible for the App or its content
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App
- Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you
- Your use of the App must comply with applicable App Store terms
